For the third year in a row, Los Angeles-based gallery Thinkspace curated a “New Contemporary Movement” exhibit as part of POW WOW! Hawaii. On February 7, an opening reception was held at the exhibit’s temporary household, the Honolulu Museum of Art School. More than 120 the POW WOW! Hawaii muralists from the current year and previous years showcased 16×20 inch versions of their artwork. An installation from Aaron Li-Hill was also part of the exhibit.
The group exhibition is “art for the people,” as Thinkspace co-founder Andrew Hosner describes on the official Thinkspace gallery website.
