HNL Flow had a contest last summer, and now we’re doing another summer giveaway! Hope it gives you time to get those creative juices flowing (no pun intended).
HOW THIS CONTEST WORKS
The prompt: “How has culture shaped your life?”
The rules: Send an essay (300 words min.), a poem (no limit), or a photo (photo must have 300 word min. description) OR Post a photo on Instagram or Facebook (profile must be public) using the hashtag #TheRealWorldFlow
DEADLINE: June 10, 2015
The prize: ONE grand prize winner will be featured in the next HNL Flow issue, an HNL Flow shirt, an HNL Flow sticker and a rare copy of HNL Flow Issue 6: Real World Flow in the mail. HONORARY MENTIONS (3 runner-up) will be featured on our blog before the Issue 6 release. —
Q: Who can/cannot enter?
A: Hawaii residents from all islands, ages 18-40, can turn in submissions. Hawaii high school and college students are encouraged to enter. Anyone who is on the HNL Flow staff or is an intern cannot enter.
Q: I’m not an artist, or don’t consider myself one. Can I still enter?
A: Of course! We believe that everyone has a creative side. What makes this magazine so special is the people that read it (AKA you guys!). We only ask that you take this contest seriously and passionately (so nothing inappropriate!).
